Meet Ziv Merin. Ziv is a Business Administration student at Towson University with concentrations in Investments and Financial Planning and a minor in Marketing. With an expected graduation date of May 2026, Ziv is seeking an internship opportunity beginning in late May to further develop his skills before entering the full-time job market. He is particularly interested in wealth management, portfolio development, financial analysis, and long-term investment strategy, and is open to opportunities in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Virginia, or New York areas.
Ziv is drawn to roles that combine financial analysis with client-focused advisory work, including portfolio construction, retirement planning, and estate planning. Through his academic work and extracurricular involvement, he has developed a strong foundation in investment research and financial planning strategy.
At Towson University, Ziv served as an Equity Researcher with the Towson University Investment Group, where he analyzed securities and developed written investment recommendations using financial research tools and market data. This experience strengthened his ability to evaluate financial statements, identify market opportunities, and communicate investment insights within a collaborative investment environment.
Ziv has also gained financial and operational leadership experience through his work with Habonim Dror Camp Moshava. As Technical Director, he helped manage daily expenditures within an operating budget exceeding $1 million while overseeing staff recruitment and operational coordination for a large summer program. In previous roles, he also managed a $20,000 staff fund budget and supported fundraising efforts that generated nearly $5,000 in donations.
Ziv brings strong experience with analytical tools; he is Microsoft Excel MOS Certified and has worked with Bloomberg Terminal, Tableau, Python (Pandas), and the Microsoft Office Suite. He also holds the Bloomberg Market Concepts and eMoney Fundamentals certifications, providing exposure to both investment analysis and financial planning tools.
